New Bums formed in the summer of 2009 with Donovan Quinn (Skygreen Leopards) after Ben moved to the Mission in San Francisco, two doors down from Donovan. Â A healthy mistrust of each other for a good year gave way to tolerance and eventual comaraderie as they wrote their jams.
In 2011 Donovan supported Six Organs on a month long tour that saw New Bums perform at the end of Donovan’s set.
An EP 7″ Â is due in September as well as a tour with Bill Callahan.
They’ve finished recording a full length LP that will see the light of day in 2014.
